BOOKING FLIGHTS (UX)

The checkout process is a crucial step on any platform that makes sales. A poorly executed user experience leads to user frustration, and in turn, loss of revenue. In order to develop my skills as a user experience designer, I took on the challenge of crafting an improved flight booking process from start to finish. I used multiple research and analysis techniques to gain a thorough understanding of users’ preferences and pain points, as well as a thorough overview of the industry standards. I completed an in-depth competitor analysis, conducted a usability test and user interview, took notes, and lead an affinity diagram exercise. Towards the end of the process, I sketched out a detailed flow diagram with additional interaction design notes. As the final step, I built a working medium-fidelity prototype in Figma, as well as developer-ready wireframes.

A glimpse into my research and analysis work is shown below. My prototype is available here (viewable on most up-to-date browsers). Please note: Figma automatically highlights interactive areas when you click anywhere in the prototype window. My developer-ready wireframes can be viewed here.
